Getting Monetized on YouTube

Doesn't everyone that starts a YouTube channel want to get monetized?  I started The Elev8 Project YouTube channel last year and recently got monetized. 

Sharing my thoughts on the minimum 4000 watch hours and 1000 subscribers and the being monetized.
